It all began with the 2001 publication of Avatar by SD Perry, the first book in what would unofficially become known as the "DS9 Relaunch". This was the first time the licensed novel line published by Pocket Books had been permitted to continue the story beyond the end of a TV series' conclusion, able to introduce new characters and make changes in the status quo. It began an over-arching continuity that the novel line adheres to even today.
I have always resisted making these public, not wanting to give the authors' hard work away for free. But given the time elapsed since their publication and the fact that full synopses are available online elsewhere already, I have now changed that policy. The original authors retain full rights and credit.
